An experienced, highly capable farm manager with over 10 years in leadership roles is seeking an equity management opportunity to put down long-term roots with his young family. Passionate about livestock, land stewardship, and team management, he is ready to invest in the right partnership and continue being part of a larger-scale farming business.

About the Candidate

✔️ Proven Farm Leadership: Over a decade of experience in farm management and 2IC roles on large-scale sheep, beef, and deer operations (up to 20,000 SU). 

✔️ Strong Reputation & Work Ethic: Known for his no-nonsense, hardworking approach and deep care for the land and stock. 

✔️ Passion for Livestock & Performance: Thrives on optimizing livestock health and productivity, finding great satisfaction in seeing performance improvements. 

✔️ People & Business Focused: Enjoys managing and developing staff, fostering a strong team culture. 

✔️ Committed to Long-Term Success: Looking for stability and a true partnership, where his family can grow up on the land for generations to come. 

✔️ Stewardship & Land Development: Has hands-on experience in and a genuine enjoyment for in native planting and other farm development.

Background & Experience

• Dairy farming roots – Grew up milking cows before moving into drystock farming. 

• Five years shepherding in North Canterbury, including 2 years on a Hereford-Charolais stud operation. 

• Eight years in Wairarapa, including 2 years on a sheep stud before stepping up as 2IC on a 20,000 SU farm. 

• One year as farm manager on another 20,000 SU property in Gisborne. 

• Four years in current role: Farm Manager of a 10,000 SU family-owned farm in Hawke’s Bay.
