What do you mean by a “farming partnership”?

We use “farming partnership” as a broad term for arrangements in which two or more parties work together to achieve their farming, investment or succession goals.These may include leases, lease-to-buy arrangements, equity partnerships, sharefarming, syndicates, joint ventures, vendor finance, deferred settlement, progressive ownership and other tailored arrangements.The word “partnership” does not necessarily mean a legal partnership. The final structure is something the parties must work through with their own professional advisors.

Who can join Landify?

Landify is open to people and businesses genuinely interested in exploring farming partnership opportunities. This includes established farming businesses, younger farmers and operators, people looking for pathways into farm ownership, landowners, investors and professional advisors acting for named clients.You do not need to have a fully formed opportunity or proposal before joining. Many members use Landify to understand what options exist and begin exploring what may be possible.

What can I do as a free member?

It is free to sign up for Landify’s email updates and access the Members Area.As a free member, you can:Browse current listings.Save listings to your watchlist.Submit enquiries about listings.Receive Landify’s email updates.If a listing party would like to connect with you after reviewing your enquiry, you will need to become a paid member before Landify can make the introduction.

What does paid membership include?

Paid membership costs $499 per year, including GST.It gives you access to Landify’s full member services, including:One listing on the Landify platform for up to 12 months.Unlimited introductions to other members, where both parties agree to connect.Support from Landify as you make or receive enquiries and explore potential opportunities.Membership must be paid before you can publish a listing or receive an introduction to another member.

Do I need to be a paid member to submit an enquiry?

Accepted Answer

No. Free members can browse listings and submit enquiries.The listing party will review your enquiry and decide whether they would like to connect with you. If both parties agree to an introduction, you must become a paid member before Landify shares contact details or makes the connection.Submitting an enquiry does not guarantee that an introduction will be offered.

Question 7

What happens after I enquire about a listing?

When you enquire about a listing, you will be asked to provide information about your experience, goals, interest in the opportunity and why you believe you could be a suitable partner.Landify will pass your enquiry to the listing party or their nominated facilitator. They will review it and decide whether they would like to explore the opportunity with you further.If both parties agree, and the required membership has been paid, Landify will make an introduction.

Question 8

Can I remain anonymous when making a listing?

Yes. You can publish a listing without publicly identifying yourself, your business or your property.Members may still need enough general information to understand the nature and location of the opportunity. However, your identity and contact details will not be shared unless you expressly agree to this through the relevant form or process on the Landify website.

How long will my listing remain live?

Accepted Answer

A paid membership includes one listing for up to 12 months. You can ask for your listing to be removed earlier if your circumstances change or you no longer wish to receive enquiries.You can also see how many times your listing has been viewed and will receive enquiries submitted through the platform.

Why do listing parties need to nominate a facilitator?

Accepted Answer

Farming partnership discussions can involve significant financial, personal and business decisions. A facilitator helps the listing party manage enquiries, assess potential connections and support constructive conversations between the parties. Where facilitators have not been used in the past on Landify, we have seen that introductions lose momentum and purpose.When submitting a listing, you must nominate a suitably experienced facilitator. This may be one of Landify’s participating Ecosystem Partners or another advisor or mentor you already work with, subject to Landify’s acceptance.The facilitator works for and is engaged by the listing party. Any fees for their services are agreed directly between the facilitator and the listing party and are separate from Landify’s membership fee.

What does a facilitator do?

The facilitator’s role will depend on the listing party’s needs, but may include:Helping clarify the opportunity and the listing party’s objectives.Reviewing and managing enquiries.Helping identify which parties may be suitable to meet.Supporting initial conversations and introductions.Helping the parties identify appropriate next steps and professional advice.A facilitator does not replace independent legal, financial, tax, property or investment advice for either party.

What are Ecosystem Partners?

Landify’s Ecosystem Partners are rural professionals and organisations whose products and services may help members prepare for, explore or establish successful farming partnerships.They may offer services such as facilitation, business planning, accounting, legal advice, financial modelling, succession planning, coaching, property advice and farm-management support.You can browse participating firms and their services on Landify’s Ecosystem Partners page⁠. Members remain responsible for deciding which products and advisors are suitable for their circumstances.

Question 13

Can an advisor or agent use Landify for a client?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Advisors and agents may help a client prepare a listing or submit an enquiry, provided they clearly identify themselves and the client they represent.Enquiries must relate to a genuine, named client or to an opportunity the advisor is personally exploring. Advisors must not use information obtained through Landify to solicit members, build contact lists or market unrelated services.

Does Landify assess or recommend potential partners?

Landify helps members find and connect with people who may share compatible goals. We may support the enquiry and introduction process, but we do not guarantee that any person, business, listing or opportunity is suitable, accurate, financially sound or likely to succeed.Members must carry out their own due diligence and obtain independent professional advice before entering into any arrangement.

Question 15

Will my personal information be shared?

Landify never automatically shares your personal or contact information with other members, facilitators or Ecosystem Partners.We will only share that information where you have expressly given permission through the relevant enquiry, listing, introduction or consent form on the Landify website, or where disclosure is otherwise required by law.Members who receive confidential or personal information through Landify must only use it for the purpose for which it was shared.

Does making an enquiry guarantee an introduction?

No. The listing party decides whether they wish to explore an enquiry further. An introduction will only be made if they consent to one and any applicable membership requirements have been met.Likewise, an introduction does not guarantee that the parties will reach an agreement or establish a partnership.

Is Landify a real estate agency, financial adviser or investment platform?

No. Landify provides a listing and introduction service for people interested in exploring farming partnerships.We do not act as a real estate agent, financial adviser, investment adviser, lawyer or accountant. We do not provide personalised recommendations, conduct due diligence for members, negotiate final agreements or hold funds on behalf of parties.Members should engage appropriately qualified independent advisors before making financial, legal, property or investment decisions.

Can I advertise products or services through Landify?

Landify works with selected organisations through its Ecosystem Partner programme.
