Innovative Farming Duo looking for a Lease or Similar Opportunity

Who we are

We, Stefanie Schwarze and Haleigh Payne, are two women who are farming in partnership.

Our experience

• Haleigh has a lifetime of experience helping out on the family sheep and beef farm, with a stint in the dairy industry.

• Steff has 17 years' experience sheep and beef farming, including stock managing a remote station for 5 years.

We are both skilled in all aspects of farming including fencing and maintenance, shearing, animal handling including treating injuries, breeding, machinery operation, pasture management etc.

Our business goals

We would like to build up enough equity to buy our own place, ideally in the next 3-5 years, depending on stock prices, land values and any special opportunities that might arise. To this end we want to increase our stock numbers and potentially pay off the debt we took on to buy our stock. We are also very keen to start a sheep stud in the near future

Why we are exploring farming partnerships:

While we don't have the capital to buy our own place yet, we are hoping to build up our equity, or take on a long term lease with the right people. What we would value most in a partnership is honesty and open communication, with people who care.

We think we would be good in a partnership because we are hard working and honest. We love to try new things and find solutions to any problem. Our animals' wellbeing is our top priority. We will make anything work to get through challenging times, like doing all our own shearing last season.

What we're looking for

We are currently running 4500su and are ideally looking for something similar size.

We are open to any opportunity, including, but not limited to:

• Short term leases,

• An investor wanting to buy a farm and looking for someone independent to run it,

• A family wanting to head overseas for a few years and not sell the farm
